Dr Fabio Trave is a physician graduated cum laude at the State University of Milano (1981). After graduation Dr. Trave spent five years at the National Cancer Institute in Genova and two at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. At that stage of his career Dr. Trave worked in basic and clinical research, became member of international scientific associations, and authored articles in leading oncology and pharmacology journals as well as chapters in medical books. In 1988 Dr. Trave moved to the pharmaceutical industry where he held positions of increasing responsibility in clinical development, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, and drug safety in Europe and in the USA as well.

During his last tenure in the industry Dr. Trave headed a global pharmacovigilance group covering Europe, Middle East and Africa for a major multinational company, acting as EU Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance and serving as member in the EFPIA Pharmacovigilance Ad-Hoc Group.
Dr. Trave is currently involved in teaching activity at the University of Milano and is consulting to the pharmaceutical industry.
